When does being loyal mean saying no?
Some people make you feel more like yourself. Others leave you guessing. Friendship and love can be joyful, complicated, awkward and worth the effort, sometimes all in the same week.
No is a complete sentence. The reason is optional.
You can care about someone and still say no.
A friend who only hears from you when it suits you will start to count.

Boundaries matter
Caring about someone does not mean agreeing to everything. Respect works in both directions, even between best friends.
Before your next yes, pause and check: do I mean it? If not, one complete sentence: no.
Who did you say yes to this week when you meant no? What would the honest version have cost?
