Klar im Kopf
A feelings journal for children whose heads are full at night, and a book that finds clear words. The series that ELSEWISE grew out of.
Who it is for
Klar im Kopf is written for children between 10 and 14 and for the adults around them: parents, grandparents, teachers. These are the years when a head first gets properly full. Friendships shift, the body changes, the phone arrives, and at night the thoughts lie on top of each other like laundry.
The series does nothing therapeutic. It gives words and space. A child who can write down what happened and what they think about it falls asleep more easily. That is not a theory, it is the reason journals have existed for centuries. The series is in German; an English edition is being considered.
The feelings journal KOPF VOLL?
KOPF VOLL? ("head full?") is a printable feelings journal in A4, made for girls and boys from age 10. Every day has four boxes: What happened? What do I think about it? What do I know for sure, and what am I only guessing? Which next step is mine? There are extra pages for good days, for arguments, for the night before a test and for things you don't want to tell anyone.
No smileys, no reward stars, no traffic-light colors. A feeling isn't good or bad, it's simply there. The journal is sold in the FLITCH shop on flitch.fun, where you find price, length and a preview.
The book
The book speaks to children directly, never down to them: thoughts that won't stop, friendship, boundaries, the phone, and what to do when everything is too much. Every chapter ends with a question, not with advice.
Free: a template to try
The page "Head full? Start with one thing" with the four boxes is on this website to copy into a notebook. Files to download are collected in the FLITCH Club on flitch.fun, so that everything lives in one place and we need no data here.
How Klar im Kopf and ELSEWISE belong together
Klar im Kopf is the younger line. ELSEWISE tells stories for the ones who are older: Nora and Alex, questions instead of answers, six themes from friendship to money. Whoever started with the journal finds the continuation here, without anyone having to say so.
