School & Pressure · From the series KOPF VOLL? · KEIN PLAN?

What's it all for, anyway?

School is where you spend most of your time, and sometimes where your head gets the fullest. This is about grades, pressure, comparisons and the things you still enjoy.

Three thoughts

A grade is a snapshot. Not a verdict on you.

Sometimes good isn't enough when everyone else is good too. Then it helps to ask: good for whom?

Looking twice doesn't make you slow. It means you see more.

When one grade suddenly means everything

Before a big test, a number can feel like your whole future. It isn't. A small plan often helps more than pep talks: what can I do today, what tomorrow, and who can I talk to?

Comparing without making yourself small

Someone is always faster, better, louder. Comparisons can push you or freeze you. It helps to compare yourself with where you were yesterday instead of with someone else's best day.

Something to try, no obligation

Tonight, write down three things you understood this week. Whether or not they'll be on a test.

A question to take with you

When did you last feel good about something you learned, with no grade attached?

You're more than your grades. And you're still allowed to want to do well.
