ELSEWISE

We believe in people who think for themselves.

In good stories. In decisions of your own. And in the idea that the world can be seen differently.

Growing up is not a straight line. It is made of friendships, expectations, big questions and small decisions. Of moments when you are brave. And of others when you think afterwards: maybe I should have done that differently.

That is what ELSEWISE is about.

Why ELSEWISE exists

We believe stories can do something well-meant advice often cannot: let us see the world through someone else's eyes.

Maybe you meet someone in a story who thinks completely differently from you. Maybe you understand a decision you would never have made yourself. Or you read something and think: no, I see that completely differently. That is good too.

We do not tell you how to think, feel or live. We tell stories that make you curious, raise questions and sometimes stay in your head a little longer. Because an opinion of your own does not come from only ever knowing one side.

What we believe

In honesty, even when it is uncomfortable. In respect, even when people disagree. In friendship that means more than agreeing with each other. In family, sticking together and being there for one another. In freedom that comes with responsibility. And in the courage to go your own way without losing sight of the people around you.

Some of that may sound old-fashioned. We think good manners, a kept promise and an honest thank-you have lost none of their value. That girls may be confident, ambitious and feminine. That boys can show strength and still be attentive, kind and considerate. That you can stand up for your convictions without putting others down.

Our values also grew out of a family shaped by the Christian faith. They influence what matters to us and which stories we tell. ELSEWISE is still open to everyone. You do not have to share our convictions to be welcome here. And you do not have to agree with every character.

What you find at ELSEWISE

Stories instead of ready-made answers. Characters with their own strengths, weaknesses, hopes and mistakes, whom you follow through friendships, family stories, misunderstandings and decisions.

People who are not perfect. Nora is seventeen, Alex eighteen. They have known each other for years and still see many things differently. They make mistakes, learn and sometimes have to admit that good intentions alone are not enough.

Questions that invite you to think on. Friendship, feelings, family, the future, money and responsibility, looked at from different angles. Alongside, there are the books of the Klar im Kopf line and a free page for keeping your own thoughts. You decide where to start.

Who is behind ELSEWISE

ELSEWISE is a story world by FLITCH UG from Braunschweig, Germany. Under the FLITCH roof, different book and creative worlds grow: the Wirtschaftsschweinchen, Mila & Liv and ELSEWISE with the Klar im Kopf line. What connects them: the conviction that good content should not only entertain, but make people curious, pass on knowledge and help them develop thoughts of their own. FLITCH is the publisher.

We develop our stories, characters and illustrations with the support of digital tools. Editorial responsibility stays with us, and people check everything before it goes out. Nora and Alex are fictional people. Their questions, doubts and decisions might still feel familiar. That is no coincidence.

A place to read. No pressure.

You do not need an account at ELSEWISE to read the stories. You do not have to comment, publish an opinion or explain to anyone why a topic interests you. This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics; what the server stores technically is in the privacy policy.

With difficult topics we know that a story cannot replace every kind of support. So we take such questions seriously and point to help where it makes sense.
